Greetings!

The Heartland/Pacific Coast Alumni Association is gearing up to minister at the Heartland National Church Planting Conference in two specific ways:

  1. The Alumni Association will provide a free, come-and-go, deluxe continental breakfast to all Heartland/Pacific Coast graduates and their families on Wednesday and Thursday morning of the Church Planting Conference.  The breakfast will be in the Alumni Association Conference Room (D building – 2nd floor) from 7:45am – 8:45am each day (again, Wednesday and Thursday morning).  We encourage all graduates and their families to stop by for this relaxed time of breakfast, coffee, and fellowship.
  2. The Alumni Association will present a small gift to every church planter or home missions representative who attends the Church Planting Conference—regardless of where or whether they attended Bible college.  It’s one small way the Alumni Association can encourage those who are on the “front lines” of church planting in America.  To receive your gift, just stop by the Alumni Association display in the main foyer of the Sam Davison Biblical Preaching Center before or after any service during the conference.

We are looking forward to a great week!  God bless you.

Rick Williams
Alumni Association President

Thank You!

On Tuesday, the HBBC staff and faculty assembled for the annual Christmas party.  The Alumni Association and two churches provided the funding for this year’s Christmas bonuses (which Bro. Copes delivered), and we received more than 80 individual greetings for the staff and faculty.  It was obvious how much your words of encouragement meant.  Thank you for your investment into the wonderful people who labor at Heartland Baptist Bible College.

Send a Christmas Greeting to the HBBC Staff and Faculty!

A blank gift tag on a blue snowflake background

Lord willing, Bro. Davison and Bro. Copes will present Christmas bonuses to the staff and faculty of Heartland Baptist Bible College on December 15—three weeks from today.  These bonuses are made possible through the financial support of the Heartland/Pacific Coast Alumni Association.  To all of you who have given through church donation or membership fees to make this possible, we say “thank you!”  This year, we would like to deliver more than a check.  We would like to deliver a message from you, as well.  If you CLICK HERE, you can write and submit a personalized greeting to all of the Heartland staff and faculty—or to any staff or faculty member in particular.  We will assemble these greetings and deliver them with the bonuses.  It’s one small way we can express our gratitude.

 God Bless,

 Rick Williams

Alumni Association President

Amen Quartet – CD Release

The Amen Quartet is a group of four singers and a pianist who were all previous members of the GloryBound Quartet from Heartland Baptist Bible College. With a desire to provide stirring gospel music for individuals and local churches, these men (Josh Higdon, Stephen Jones, Daniel Ligon, Joe Mizer, and Tyler Prater) have prepared to release a new CD project entitled “Glorious Freedom.”  Because of the Amen Quartet’s appreciation for the investment they received while attending Heartland Baptist Bible College, they have committed to donate $4 from the purchase of each CD to the Heartland Baptist Bible College Alumni Association!

It will be available starting September 22nd through the Heartland Baptist Bookstore.  Click here to purchase.

Glorious FreedomPlease consider supporting this CD project and these Heartland graduates, as they in turn invest back into the college; we are confident the music will be a blessing!

In Christ,

Rick Williams
Alumni Association Vice-President

John Vaught – 2007 Graduate

The journey of ministry life has been an enriching experience since graduating Heartland Baptist Bible College, in 2007. The Lord has allowed me to be in full-time ministry, filling positions of Assistant Pastor, Youth Pastor, College Director and now, Pastor.  In 2009, I joined the pastoral staff at Fellowship Baptist Church in Liberal, KS under the leadership of Pastor Bill Prater, for the purpose of being trained and equipped to plant a church.

Zach Shives

I love Heartland Baptist Bible College. I have purposed in my heart to fight for Heartland and to uphold all of the precepts that were bestowed to me during my tenure as a student. However, I have not always had such an outspoken love for the school. During much of my first two years as a student I viewed the college as a “necessary evil” in order to achieve a higher goal: to be in the ministry.

Ryan Rench

As a youth pastor, I make a big deal about living out the Christian walk. I preach that when we truly realize what God did in saving us, there’s a sense of debt that we feel we owe to Christ. He gave everything; the least we can do is live for Him.

President’s Update

Hey everybody!

I can’t tell you how much I am enjoying the warmer weather!  This has been the winter of Sunday Storms.  Our church has already had 3 Sundays affected by major winter storms, and we are expecting another 2-4″ snowstorm this Sunday.  All I can say is, wow!

Carlos Serrano – 2005 Graduate

I began my first year at Heartland Baptist Bible College in the fall of 2002 and graduated in May of 2005. It was a wonderful and life changing experience to attend Heartland. God used Heartland to instill some very important ministry philosophy in my life which I use in my ministry and everyday life.
